Cindy, here is a good example of what gets my imagination going...last week there was a story in the newspaper about a car crashing into a laundromat....so I made a scene about it! It really helped that I had just received the laundromat set of stamps from Art Impressions.
I call it "I Have No Shame" HAHAHA The cupboard was empty, the kitties were hungry and I had many loads of laundry to do....but here I sat drinking coffee and stamping another scene (just kidding of course, we had food and the cats were fed.....although the laundry part was very true......and I have to say it was a happy moment when I showed it to hubby and he burst out laughing very loud! He loved it)
the rat/mouse is 2 stamps, I just blotted the ink off his one arm, stamped and then masked him. Then stamped the drink from this little $1 set I got at Michael's (since it was clear I didn't even need to use my stampajiggy thingy).
For some reason I wasn't quite happy with this one and re-did it since I had all the stamps still right there in front of me (top is the re-do). But now I like the bottom one too! LOL

I am making this special post to say thank you to nise for your uplifting comments!
My version of a scene from July/August 2004 RSM pg 63, top of page (window scene was by Inky aka Nanci Ring). I did not have any of the stamps she used but I totally copied her hand-drawn window frame.
I felt like making a simple scene last week; I made the bottom one first with granny leaping into the pool but I wasn't happy with how I colored the tree or sky. So I redid it and used some other stamps. Tree is Bugawumps, most of the rest are Eat Cake Graphics. Copic markers and chalks. Bird cage and lil birds are Sugar Nellie stamps. I used Cryogen White Metallic paper which has a little shimmer to it.
I lifted this from Suzanne Dean at scrapbitz.blogspot.com Magnolia and Alota stamps Copic markers digital paper, chalks, Stickles, prima flower, paper piecing technique
